Terms & Conditions for “Sherie Safaris”
Reservations, Payments and Documents:
By making your payment you confirm that you have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions.
Payments:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total tour cost or ($500 minimum) is required within 48 hours of confirmation to secure and lock in your travel arrangements. Full payment is due 12 weeks prior to departure. .
Documents can only be released upon receipt of final payment and supporting documentation. Documents will be sent via email 4-3 weeks before the departure date, unless it was a last-minute booking in this case they will be emailed as soon as possible.
Special terms and conditions regarding deposits, payments, and cancellation fees may be imposed by various service providers. All reservations are subject to such terms and conditions and it is our duty to ensure that you are familiar with the special terms and conditions of any such service provider at the time of your booking.
If any payment is dishonored, we reserve the right to cancel all services, arrangements and bookings without prior notification. Furthermore, we reserve the right to claim damages to cover any costs incurred by ourselves as a result of the dishonored payment.
Cancellations & Changes:
Cancellations can be costly; all cancellations must be in writing.
All air-tickets, once issued, are non-refundable. For refund of land arrangements, the following fees will apply:
For cancellations received less than:
12 weeks or more: forfeiture of deposit
12-8 weeks prior to departure: 50% of tour cost
8-4 weeks prior to departure: 70% of tour cost
4-1 weeks prior to departure: 100 % of tour cost
Some vendors may have special cancelation policies; you will be advised at the time of booking if there are special restrictions that apply other than Sherie Safaris' cancelation terms.
No refund for unused services will be considered if canceled after departure. Sherie Safaris reserves the right to charge a change fee for changes to confirmed bookings (a minimum amendment fee of 50.00 per change will apply). Late booking fees will be waived for bookings received less than 2 weeks prior to departure. In accordance with standard procedure of tour operators worldwide, we reserve the right to cancel the tour/travel arrangements prior to departure, due to circumstances beyond our control. in which event the entire payment will be refunded without any further obligation on the part of Sherie Safaris.
We highly recommend Travel Protection in the case of cancelations or unseen emergencies.
Prices:
Sherie Safaris will try to maintain prices quoted and published. However, where increases due to currency fluctuations, airfare increases, hoteliers’ increases and other factors outside our control do arise, surcharges will be made to cover such increases.
Itinerary variations:
Whilst every effort is made to follow all published itineraries, we reserve the right to make changes necessary due to circumstances beyond our control, this does not constitute any reason for a refund.
Accommodation:
We reserve the right to substitute hotels, cruisers and other accommodations listed with others of a similar or higher category, at no additional cost to the passenger. Check-in time is usually 14.00 hrs, and check-out time latest 10.00 am. For early/late check-in/out, an additional fee will be charged.
Not included in tour price:
Airport and border taxes, cost of passports, visas, laundry, porterage, telephone calls, food and beverages (unless specified), and other items of a personal nature which are listed as optional or not included in the tour cost. Only such airfares as detailed in each itinerary are included. Tips to hotel staff, guides and drivers are left to the discretion of the passengers. We urge our passengers to conform to international standards with regard to tipping. A guide to recommended rates will be given.
Documentation & Health requirements:
It is the personal responsibility of each passenger to ensure that they are in possession of the correct documentation prior to departure. Vaccination and other health requirements for travel between your home city and your tour destinations may change from time to time. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to consult with the appropriate consulates to determine if any visas are needed, and with medical personnel to determine what health precautions and documents are necessary, and to obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel and health documents. The company shall not accept any responsibility for any consequences of any nature arising from the passengers failing to ensure that they have complied with the necessary health/passport/visa requirements.
General/Special Requests:
Special requests should be specified at time of reservation. We accept special requests on the understanding that whilst we will make every effort to comply, under no circumstances can we guarantee that they will be met. No refund will be considered for unused services whether they form part of the basic inclusive tour package or whether they are a pre-booked optional arrangement.
Responsibility Clause:
Sherie Safaris and its associates, vendors and agents act as booking agents on behalf of principals and accept no liability for any death, injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or other irregularity whatsoever and howsoever arising and render the services on condition that they shall in no way be liable, or accept responsibility in respect of any detail, negligence or otherwise with regard to hotels, sightseeing or any other services, nor are they liable for any loss or damage or additional expense or inconvenience caused by changes in schedules, delays, sickness, injury (or death) or any other cause whatsoever. Under no circumstances will Sherie Safaris or any of the parties be liable for consequential loss or damage.
Complaints:
In the unsightly event you should have a complaint about one of your services while traveling with us, your local ground agent must be immediately informed to attempt to rectify the matter, they will also notify us so we can assist and make sure the situation was handled in a timely manner. If the local agent is not made aware of any complaints, Sherie Safaris will be unable to assist on your return home.
We will do everything in our power to make sure your trip is as relaxing and worry-free as possible.
